According to the police account reported by 7NEWS, a utility vehicle and an SUV collided head-on near Longfield Street at about 11.15pm. The SUV then struck a sedan.

Injuries and Emergency Response

  • The SUV driver, a man aged in his 50s, suffered critical head injuries and was trapped until Fire and Rescue NSW crews freed him. He was taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
  • The utility driver was also taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment.
  • Three children travelling in the utility were taken to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. An eight-year-old suffered facial injuries, while the other two children sustained cuts attributed in the report to their seatbelts.
  • The male sedan driver and his three passengers — two teenage girls and a woman — were taken to hospital as a precaution.
