On Wednesday, 11 December 2024, a man in his 40s was critically injured after being struck by a falling elevator cart at a worksite in Biggera Waters on the Gold Coast, Queensland.
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) was notified and has commenced an investigation to determine the cause of the accident and any potential safety breaches.
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland is appealing for any workers, contractors or witnesses present at the Biggera Waters worksite at the time of the incident to come forward with information. Reports can be made to WHSQ on 1300 362 128.
