A tragic incident on a farm near Bundaberg has resulted in the death of a man due to an accident involving farming machinery.
Details of the Incident
The accident occurred on a private property on Alfs Rd in Childers, where the man, in his 30s, was critically injured by farming equipment. Emergency services, including paramedics, were called to the scene around 8:10 pm on Tuesday.
Response and Investigation
Upon arrival, paramedics provided immediate treatment for the man’s injuries, but despite their efforts, he was declared dead at the scene. The police have commenced an investigation into the incident, which is currently being treated as non-suspicious.
Legal and Safety Considerations
A report is being prepared for the coroner to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident. Additionally, WorkSafe Queensland has been notified and is expected to conduct a separate investigation to assess any potential breaches of workplace safety laws.
