CDC reported in June 2023 that an epidemic Norovirus outbreak affected 106 passengers (out of 838, or 13.1%) and 9 crew (out of 455) on a voyage from June 6 to June 20.
The most prevalent symptoms included abdominal pain, vomiting, and diarrhea.
The ship was on a 14-day Transatlantic cruise from Iceland to the USA (Reykjavik to NYC New York) visiting Iceland’s Heimaey Island (Jun 7), Djupivogur (Jun 8), Seydisfjordur (Jun 9), Akureyri (Jun 10) and Isafjordur (Jun 11), Greenland’s Nanortalik (Jun 13) and Qaqortoq (Jun 14), and Canada’s L’Anse aux Meadows (Jun 16) and Halifax (Jun 18), before arriving in NYC (Cape Liberty, Bayonne NJ) on Jun 20th.
