An 83-year-old passenger died after becoming unresponsive during a snorkeling excursion connected to Norwegian Getaway at Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas, on 3 May 2026.

The passenger became unresponsive while snorkeling or swimming at the destination. His son found him, and lifeguards and Norwegian Getaway medical staff attempted resuscitation. The passenger did not respond.
