Details of the Incident
On October 6, 2024, during the Carnival Sunshine’s 4-day Bahamas Cruise, an elderly female passenger was found unresponsive. Despite immediate medical response efforts by the ship’s crew, they were unable to resuscitate her. The ship was en route from Charleston, South Carolina, having visited Nassau the previous day.
Response and Procedures Followed
Following the incident, Carnival Sunshine’s medical team followed all protocols necessary for handling such unfortunate situations. The ship continued its journey back to Charleston, where further arrangements were made for the deceased.
