On April 30, 2023, a male passenger was reported overboard and missing.
Shortly after 8 p.m. (10 a.m. UTC), the ferryboat, which was traveling from Geelong (Victoria, Australia) to Devonport (Tasmania), reversed course and initiated a search and rescue operation after an onboard census.
At 8:50 pm (10:50 UTC), the man’s body was discovered and recovered from the waters off Geelong.
The passenger’s passing was not viewed as suspicious.
