Response and Investigation
Crew members and port personnel recovered the passenger from the harbour. She received initial treatment at the scene before being taken to Corfu General Hospital, where she was treated for minor facial and bodily injuries. Greek authorities detained the Italian captain on allegations of endangering passengers and examined whether appropriate safety measures had been implemented. The captain was later released without restriction, and the ship continued its voyage. The vessel was not officially identified by authorities; CruiseMapper attributed it to Norwegian Viva using AIS data, while Norwegian Cruise Line confirmed that one of its ships had separated from the pier. No deaths were reported.
