Introduction
MSC Divina unauthorized announcements led to an investigation after six passengers allegedly accessed the ship’s public-address system and broadcast false emergency messages during a late-July 2026 voyage.
What Happened
The incident reportedly occurred at sea during the night of July 29–30, while the ship was sailing from Marmaris toward Naples. The six passengers, who were travelling from Naples in two cabins, allegedly used the public-address system to broadcast false emergency messages. No injuries or deaths were reported.
Response and Investigation
When MSC Divina reached Naples, authorities boarded the ship and the six passengers were reported to judicial authorities for alleged unauthorised computer access and public alarm. The ship’s master later addressed passengers about the incident. The investigation remained ongoing.
