Mein Schiff 3 medevac rescued three passengers south of Madeira during the late hours of January 1, 2026, after the ship requested medical assistance.
The ship was navigating approximately 38 nautical miles south of Funchal when Portuguese maritime authorities responded. A rescue boat from the Funchal Lifesaving Station, supported by a SANAS Madeira boat, transferred the passengers ashore.
