A tragic incident occurred on Explorer Of The Seas in the early hours of April 18, 2024, when a passenger succumbed to an illness despite extensive efforts to save their life. The event unfolded near the coast of Cuba during the cruise ship’s return journey to Miami.

Details of the Incident

Around 2 AM, the ship’s captain issued an urgent medical alert for stateroom 6327, indicating a severe medical emergency. Despite immediate medical intervention, the situation escalated, and by approximately 1:33 AM, it became necessary to evacuate the critically ill passenger via helicopter.
