Genting Dream Crew Rescues Individual in Strait of Malacca – 3 September 2025

On 3 September 2025, the Genting Dream, operated by Resorts World Cruises, executed a critical maritime rescue in the Strait of Malacca while en route on a 3-night voyage from Singapore to Phuket. The vessel's crew identified an individual in distress aboard a small craft and successfully recovered the person, who was brought aboard in stable condition and provided medical evaluation and sustenance.

Maritime and local medical authorities were coordinated immediately to arrange safe transfer of the rescued individual ashore. Normal voyage operations continued following the successful completion of the rescue.

During routine navigation, the Genting Dream's crew spotted a person signaling for assistance from a small vessel. Rescue protocols were immediately activated, with teams deploying to recover the individual safely. The person was brought aboard swiftly and provided initial medical evaluation and nourishment. Coordination with maritime and local medical authorities was initiated to arrange a safe transfer ashore.
