Introduction

On the morning of 19/07/2023, a fire incident occurred onboard a liner docked at Roatan Island. The fire, which erupted on the starboard side of Deck 7, was quickly contained and the affected area was cordoned off for maintenance and safety checks.

A fire broke out on the starboard side of Deck 7 while the ship was stationed at Roatan Island. Prompt response from the ship’s crew ensured that the fire was extinguished in a short span of time. Subsequent to the incident, the affected area on Deck 7 was blocked off to facilitate maintenance and to ensure safety.

The fire incident took place during the “Western Caribbean Cruise”, a 7-day voyage which commenced on July 16 and was set to conclude on July 23. This journey, originating and concluding in Galveston, Texas, USA, comprised of multiple stops including Honduras (specifically Coxen Hole on Roatan Island with a port stay from 8 am to 5 pm) and two locations in Mexico, namely Costa Maya on July 20 and Cozumel on July 21.
