Introduction
A bomb threat temporarily halted cruise operations at the Port of San Diego while Disney Wonder was preparing for a turnaround on March 30, 2026. The threat was ruled out after a security sweep and no injuries were reported.
What Happened
The warning was received by a port employee shortly before 7:00 a.m. at the B Street Cruise Terminal, where Disney Wonder had just completed a three-night sailing to Ensenada. Passengers were not permitted to disembark while San Diego Harbor Police and explosive-detection canine units secured and searched the terminal.
Response and Investigation
The security operation lasted about two hours. At approximately 9:00 a.m., authorities declared the terminal safe and disembarkation resumed. Disney Wonder’s later departure was expected to be delayed only briefly, and the ship’s itinerary was not expected to be significantly affected. No injuries were reported, and authorities did not release information about the origin or nature of the threat.
