Celebrity Summit passenger death was reported on February 1, 2026, after 66-year-old American jazz musician Ken Peplowski was found unresponsive in his cabin during the closing days of The Jazz Cruise ’26.
Peplowski had been absent from a scheduled afternoon big band performance when he was discovered. An official cause of death was not released. The available account says he had been living with multiple myeloma since 2021, but that medical history does not establish the cause of death.
The incident occurred during a music-themed voyage operating from January 27 to February 3, 2026, roundtrip from Port Everglades, Florida. The itinerary included CocoCay in the Bahamas and San Juan, Puerto Rico, and brought nearly 100 musicians together for live performances at sea.
This log records one passenger death. No additional injuries connected with the incident were reported.
