A 66-year-old American passenger aboard the Silver Dawn cruise ship passed away on January 4th, 2025, while the vessel was docked at Ocean Terminal in Hong Kong. The passenger collapsed in his cabin and was later pronounced dead at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The incident occurred late on Saturday night. Paramedics transported the passenger to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Authorities are investigating the cause of death, and an autopsy will be conducted. Preliminary information suggests the passenger had a history of heart disease.

The Silver Dawn, a luxury cruise ship, had arrived in Hong Kong on Saturday morning and was scheduled to depart on Sunday afternoon. Law enforcement officials boarded the vessel to conduct an investigation following the passenger’s death.
