What happened
On Wednesday, 22 November 2023, an American Legend AL3 aircraft experienced a minor landing accident at Dubbo/Wings Out West Airport (YWOW) in Dubbo, New South Wales during a training flight.
The pilot encountered a crosswind of 5–8 knots during the landing roll and lost directional control. The aircraft pitched over and made contact with the ground nose-first, resulting in minor damage to the propeller and cowling. No injuries were reported.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) was notified of the occurrence and is gathering information about the incident.
