Circumstances:
A Robinson R44 Raven II was operating a private flight when it crashed under unknown circumstances north of Drake in New South Wales, approximately 84 km west of Lismore. A post-impact fire was reported at the accident site.
The pilot was the sole occupant and was fatally injured. No other fatalities were reported.
The ATSB was notified and commenced an investigation into the occurrence. Information was also reported by media and local authorities.
