Circumstances:

After landing at Sydney on runway 34 right, Qantas flight QF589 taxied west along taxiway L while a Qantas Airbus A321 operating flight QF405 taxied south along taxiway C. As the aircraft approached the intersection, the Airbus crew observed the Boeing approaching from the left and stopped the aircraft.
