Circumstances:
During the flight, the aircraft collided with a powerline and then with the ground. Post-impact flames destroyed the aircraft and caused the death of the pilot.
A light aircraft pilot was killed in a crash in the far west of New South Wales after purportedly colliding with power lines and catching fire.
Monday at 12:10 p.m., emergency services were dispatched to a rural property in Tilpa, approximately 191 kilometers southwest of Bourke and 910 kilometers northwest of Sydney.
Initial reports indicated that the plane collided with power lines and caught fire upon landing.
The pilot, a 52-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the site.
