On Friday, 13 February 2026, a BRM Aero Bristell S-LSA aircraft was involved in an accident during a solo training flight at Chinchilla Airport in Queensland. The aircraft experienced a loss of directional control during the take-off roll and subsequently impacted the runway's PAPI (Precision Approach Path Indicator) lights.
The pilot was the sole occupant on board. The aircraft sustained substantial damage as a result of the impact with the PAPI lights. No injuries were reported.
