A 35-year-old woman has died and two young children have been injured after a single-vehicle crash in the Somerset region of Queensland on Monday, 4 August 2025. The white Toyota Landcruiser they were travelling in left Sandy Creek Road and struck a tree.

- 6-year-old girl – serious but non-life-threatening injury

Crash Description
Initial reports indicate the Toyota Landcruiser was travelling northbound when it left the road and crashed into a tree. The driver died at the scene. Two children were transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for treatment, one by ambulance and one possibly by helicopter.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision. Authorities are seeking public assistance to gather further information.
