Police have charged a 19-year-old man following a fatal vehicle and pedestrian incident in Coopers Plains on September 19.
It will be alleged around 4.45am, a Mitsubishi Lancer was travelling west on Kessels Road when it left the road and stuck a pedestrian on a footpath near Riawena Road.
The pedestrian, a 35-year-old Coopers Plains woman, died at the scene.
A 19-year-old Logan Reserve man has been charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death while excessively speeding and learner driver unaccompanied.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before the Beenleigh Magistrates Court tomorrow, September 24.
