On Friday, 15 August 2025, an 84-year-old woman was critically injured after being struck by a Ford Ranger while crossing an intersection in Sunnybank, Queensland. The pedestrian, who was using a mobility wheelie walker, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital in critical condition.

Emergency services responded promptly to the scene. The male driver of the Ford Ranger remained uninjured and is assisting Queensland Police with their inquiries.
