A 76-year-old man is fighting for life after being struck by his own ute while it was being stolen at a petrol station in Western Australia’s Kimberley region.

Injuries
- Victim: 76-year-old man, sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Royal Darwin Hospital.
- Offender: Unknown driver fled in the stolen ute.
Crash Description
The man had stopped at a service station on the Great Northern Highway and was inspecting his caravan when an unknown offender entered his parked Isuzu D-Max and drove off. In the process, the victim was struck by the vehicle and critically injured.
Investigation
Police are investigating the incident as both a serious crash and a criminal offence. The stolen ute and caravan are subjects of an ongoing search. Authorities are reviewing CCTV and appealing for further evidence.
