Incident Overview

A motorcyclist died following a two-vehicle crash on Dean Street at South Townsville on Sunday, 23 August 2026. Queensland Police said a motorcycle travelling south on Dean Street collided with a white Toyota Landcruiser.

  • Motorcycle — the male rider died at the scene.
  • White Toyota Landcruiser — its driver, a 56-year-old Home Hill man, was not physically injured.

Police Investigation and Appeal

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash. The preliminary police account does not set out a final cause of the collision or any legal responsibility.
