The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a fatal traffic crash in Owanyilla yesterday morning, December 22.

Around 4.10am, a motorcyclist was travelling on the Bruce Highway near Petersen Road when he struck a horse.

A 46-year-old New South Wales man sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.

Investigations into the circumstances are continuing.
