Incident Overview
Queensland Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash on Johnson Road at Greenbank on Wednesday, 19 August 2026. The crash was reported at about 7.35pm. Police said a white Ford Ranger was travelling along Johnson Road when it left the roadway and struck a tree.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances. The police account is preliminary and does not state a final cause of the crash or any legal responsibility.
Fatality and Known Circumstances
The driver was the Ford Ranger’s sole occupant. Police said the 27-year-old man, from Forest Lake, died at the scene. The QPS release does not provide any further information about the factors that led to the vehicle leaving the road.
