Fatal traffic crash, Georgetown (Far North)

What happened

Incident Overview

On Wednesday, November 8, 2023, a fatal single-vehicle crash occurred south of Georgetown in Far North Queensland. A Nissan Patrol left Forsayth Road and rolled onto its roof, resulting in the death of the sole occupant, a 73-year-old Georgetown man.

The vehicle was discovered by a passer-by just after 10:00am local time. Queensland Police Forensic Crash Unit attended and declared the driver deceased at the scene.
