On Sunday, 10 August 2025, a man and a young boy tragically died after being struck by a white ute on Green Road, Regents Park, south of Brisbane. The fatal crash occurred late Sunday morning at approximately 11:15am, shocking the local community.

Emergency services responded quickly to the scene, but both victims were pronounced dead at the location. The 41-year-old driver of the ute was taken into custody and is assisting Queensland Police with inquiries.
