A man has died following a pedestrian crash in Carrara on the evening of Thursday, 24 July 2025. The collision occurred on Nerang Broadbeach Road and involved two separate vehicles.

Injuries/Fatalities

  • Deceased: 63-year-old male pedestrian from Carrara, declared dead at the scene
  • Injured: No physical injuries reported for either driver

Crash Description
Preliminary investigations suggest the man was attempting to cross the road when he was struck by a Holden Commodore. The impact flung him onto the opposite side of the road, where he was then struck by a Ford Falcon.

Road and Traffic Impacts
Traffic disruptions were reported during the emergency response and investigation, although specific road closure durations were not disclosed.

Investigation
The Forensic Crash Unit is conducting a detailed investigation. Both drivers remained at the scene and are cooperating with police. A report is being prepared.

Witnesses/Appeals
Police are urging any witnesses or individuals with dashcam or CCTV footage from the area around the time of the crash to come forward.
