Emergency Response

Queensland Ambulance Service and Queensland Police attended the scene. The critically injured driver of the Mazda 121 was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for emergency treatment. The driver of the SsangYong Musso was uninjured.

Investigation

Queensland Police Forensic Crash Unit is conducting a thorough investigation to determine the events leading up to the collision. Initial investigations indicate that the two vehicles were travelling in opposite directions on the Sunshine Motorway before colliding. Police are appealing for any motorists with dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident to come forward.
