Incident Overview
A three-year-old girl died after she was struck by a Range Rover in the driveway of a home at Auburn in Western Sydney on Tuesday, 15 September 2026.

According to 7NEWS, the child had been playing with her brother in the front yard of the Normanby Road property while her mother was nearby. The report said a Range Rover entered the driveway at about 2pm and allegedly struck the girl.

Vehicle and People Involved
The vehicle was reported to be a black Range Rover driven by a 27-year-old man. The child was playing in the driveway before the vehicle entered the property. CCTV published by 7NEWS showed the moments before the collision.

Fatality and Emergency Response
The girl suffered critical injuries and was taken to hospital, where she died a short time later. The driver was not reported to have been injured.

Charge and Court Proceedings
The driver was arrested after returning to the property, according to the report. He was charged with negligent driving occasioning death and appeared in court on Wednesday, 16 September.

No plea was entered. The matter was adjourned until 27 October, and the accused was granted conditional bail. Reported bail conditions included daily reporting to police, not driving, and remaining at least 100 metres from his home and the child’s home.

The charge is an allegation and has not been determined by a court.
