What happened

Incident Overview

On Saturday, 20 May 2023, a serious single-vehicle motorcycle crash occurred on Narangbah Road in Kurwongbah, Queensland, in the early hours of the morning. A 33-year-old rider from Windsor sustained serious injuries after his red MV Agusta F3800 motorbike struck an embankment while travelling north-west towards Dakabin Railway station.

Emergency services responded promptly after a passing motorist was flagged down by a witness motorcyclist who stopped to assist at the scene. Queensland Police Forensic Crash Unit is now investigating the incident and has appealed for the witness motorcyclist to come forward.

The crash occurred on Narangbah Road, Kurwongbah, at approximately 3:10am on Saturday morning, 20 May 2023.

Emergency Response

A witness motorcyclist who stopped to assist at the scene flagged down a passing motorist, who raised the alarm. Emergency services attended and the injured rider was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

Investigation

Queensland Police Forensic Crash Unit is leading the investigation into the crash. Investigators are appealing for the witness motorcyclist who stopped to assist to come forward, as well as anyone else who may have relevant dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident.
