What happened

Incident Overview

On Friday, July 26, 2024, a hit-and-run incident occurred in a car park on High Street, Southport, Queensland. A grey Volkswagen Golf was driven dangerously at a man, pinning him against a concrete pillar, before the driver fled the scene on foot.

Queensland Police attended and a 31-year-old man was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators are now appealing for the driver and any witnesses to come forward.
