Carnival Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean International, two of the largest cruise operators, have announced changes to their schedules to avoid the adverse effects of the storm. Carnival Cruise Line:

- Symphony of the Seas altered its course to visit Nassau instead of Puerto Plata.
