Circumstances:
A Robinson R22 Beta II landed on its left side in the helicopter training area at Jandakot Airport (JAD/YPJ) in Western Australia. The helicopter sustained minimal damage, and neither occupant was injured.
It is believed that they were undergoing landing training when the Robinson R22 flipped over in the helicopter training area of the facility, located about 20 kilometres south of the city centre.
St. John’s ambulance personnel have examined them.
The downed helicopter was photographed on its side on grass at the facility, with its rotor blades twisted.
