Circumstances:

The aircraft was departing Tumut Airport when it began drifting to the left during the take-off roll. The pilot attempted to correct the deviation; however, the aircraft did not respond to control inputs as expected.

The aircraft subsequently departed the prepared surface and came to rest in a paddock near the aerodrome. As a result of the occurrence, the Dyn’Aéro MCR01 ULC sustained substantial damage.
