A 40-year-old woman was walking on Kinkaid Road when she was struck by a Toyota Prado. The driver of the Prado allegedly did not stop after the collision, leaving the scene before police arrived.

The 40-year-old female pedestrian suffered serious injuries and died at the scene.

Emergency services were called to the scene, but the pedestrian could not be saved.
Investigation and Arrest
Following an investigation, officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section attended an address in Hillbank and arrested a 55-year-old woman in connection with the crash. The Toyota Prado allegedly involved in the incident was located at a Paralowie address and has been seized for forensic testing.
Charges
The woman has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, causing harm by careless driving, and failing to stop.
Court Appearance
The accused woman was refused police bail and had her driver’s license revoked. She appeared in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Thursday, January 16, 2025.
