Police have charged a 49-year-old Pioneer man following an investigation into a fatal traffic crash in Healy, Mount Isa on Saturday, June 15.
Emergency services responded to reports of a two-vehicle traffic crash around 11.30pm.
It will be alleged, a blue Toyota Camry and black Harley Davidson motorbike collided while travelling on Duchess Road.
The motorbike rider, a 57-year-old The Gap man, died at the scene.
Following an extensive investigation, the 49-year-old driver of the Camry, voluntarily attended the Mount Isa Police Station where he was arrested and charged.
He was charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death whilst adversely affected and excessive speeding and, driving whilst under the influence of liquor (UIL).
The man has been granted bail and will reappear in Mount Isa Magistrate Court on Monday, September 2.
