Queensland Police remain at the scene of a serious traffic crash in Brightview this morning where at least two people sustained life threatening injuries.

Preliminary inquiries indicate around 6am, a stolen Mazda CX-9 with three occupants was travelling on Brightview Road when the vehicle has attempted to overtake a truck, before it struck a pole and caught fire.

The occupants, two 15-year-old males and a 17-year-old female, have been taken to hospital with varying injuries.

Forensic Crash Unit investigators are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the sedan prior, to contact police.
