Police are investigating following a serious injury traffic crash that occurred in Labrador last night (February 12).

Initial information indicates at approximately 8.40pm, a 36-year-old Browns Plains woman was struck by a ute at the intersection of Brisbane Road and Government Road.

She was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital with critical injuries.

The driver of the ute, a 21-year-old Labrador man, was not physically injured and is assisting police.

Investigators would like to speak to any witnesses and anyone with footage of the incident.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
