The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a serious traffic incident on Gympie Road in Lawnton this afternoon, October 4.

Initial investigations indicate at approximately 1pm, a man was struck by a Mitsubishi Outlander travelling in the southbound lane of Gympie Road, near Paisley Drive intersection.

The pedestrian was taken to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage is urged to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
