A 36-year-old man was tragically killed in a hit-and-run incident in Kingaroy, west of the Sunshine Coast, on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024.

Details of the Kingaroy Hit-and-Run

The incident occurred around 5 am on First Avenue. The victim was walking with another man, a 27-year-old, when he was struck by a vehicle that subsequently fled the scene. The 27-year-old man was taken to Kingaroy Hospital as a precaution.

Investigation and Arrest

Police investigating the incident found a piece of a black side mirror at the scene, leading them to search for a black Mercedes. The vehicle was later located at an address on Boonenne Ellesmere Road in Taabinga. A 30-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
