A Brisbane bus driver is in serious condition after crashing into an overpass at a busy intersection in MacGregor. Passengers also sustained injuries due to the sudden stop.

MacGregor Bus Crash Overview
The accident occurred around 8 pm on Sunday at the intersection of Mains Road and Kessels Road in MacGregor. The bus driver, believed to be in his 70s, became trapped in the wreckage after colliding with the side of the overpass.

Emergency Response and Injuries
It took emergency crews approximately 40 minutes to free the driver, who suffered significant lower body injuries. He was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment. Four passengers, including a man in his 20s with facial and shoulder injuries, were also taken to the hospital in stable condition. Most passengers experienced musculoskeletal injuries due to the abrupt stop of the bus.
