The impact trapped the 35-year-old Mercedes driver for approximately 45 minutes. Emergency services freed him using specialized equipment, while paramedics treated the two police officers at the scene.

  • The Mercedes driver sustained neck and back injuries and was transported to Liverpool Hospital.
