On September 24, 2024, at approximately 2:30 pm, Gerard Binek, a 32-year-old father of three, tragically lost his life in a motorcycle crash on Vindana Road, Paralowie, in Adelaide’s north. Paramedics attended the scene, but despite their efforts, Binek could not be saved.

Binek, who resided in Elizabeth East, was riding his motorcycle when it struck a tree on Vindana Road. The crash marked the 77th road fatality in South Australia this year. Major Crash officers investigated the scene, and Vindana Road was closed for several hours to allow for the investigation.

Tributes and Family Support

Gerard Binek was remembered by family and friends as a “fun-loving, mischievous, and cheeky young man with a heart of gold.” His sister-in-law, Meegan Mitchell, shared that he “absolutely loved being a father and adored his three boys.”

To honor his memory, relatives have launched a GoFundMe campaign to support funeral costs and provide financial assistance for his partner Tereina and their three sons during this difficult time.
