The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash at Sippy Downs last night, January 5.

Initial investigations indicate that around 12:10am, emergency services were called to Albany Street near Claymore Road following reports of a Kawasaki Ninja 1000 motorbike colliding with a Kia Sportage towing a boat.

Upon arrival, the rider of the motorbike, a 23-year-old Palmview man, was initially treated for serious injuries but was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Kia, a 54-year-old Sippy Downs man, was not physically injured.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the incident and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has relevant dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward.
