The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal, two-vehicle traffic crash in Rosenthal Heights today.

At 1pm, police were called to the scene on the New England Highway near Rosenthal Road following reports a truck and a sedan had collided.

The female driver from of the sedan, aged in her 40s was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A 52-year-old Goondiwindi man and the driver of the truck which caught fire due to the crash, was transported to hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.

Police will investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
