A man has died following a fatal traffic crash in Machans Beach overnight.

Initial investigations indicate a utility was travelling along Machans Street around 11.30pm last night when it crashed into a parked truck.

The man, the driver and sole occupant, sustained critical injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.

Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
